Legacy & Lore

The Story Behind the Stories.

Cecilia K Hoffman is a born storyteller. As a child, she made up stories to keep her four younger sisters entertained and started writing them down at seven years old. When she isn’t writing, she enjoys painting, making quilts, and traveling. She lives in Washington State with her husband, two Mini Bernedoodles, an orange striped cat, and a flock of chickens.

Cecilia K. Hoffman is a Pacific Northwest-based author who crafts whimsical, adventure-filled stories designed to ignite the imaginations of young readers. Her writing is marked by a playful blend of everyday magic and epic fantasy, effortlessly transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. Whether it’s cereal boxes that become secret gateways or ordinary children discovering they’re destined for heroic quests, Hoffman’s storytelling style invites children to see the wonder in the world around them.

Drawing inspiration from timeless fairy tales and the limitless creativity of childhood, Hoffman brings her stories to life with heart, humor, and a keen sense of wonder. Her debut novel, Book 1: Best Dragon Trilogy, introduces readers to Tobin, a relatable and courageous young protagonist, and his unforgettable dragon companion, Quinton. Together, they embark on a journey that is as emotionally rich as it is action-packed, offering lessons in bravery, friendship, and imagination on every page.

With a voice that resonates with children and a storytelling approach that celebrates curiosity and courage, Hoffman is quickly establishing herself as a fresh and imaginative voice in children’s literature. Her work is perfect for young readers who dream of dragons, hidden worlds, and the everyday magic that hides in plain sight.

Messy Studio

Scattered tea, ink stains, and evergreen needles.

This isn't a factory; it's a mess. My studio floor is usually covered in half-finished sketches of dragons and maps of imaginary islands. I believe the best stories aren't manufactured—they are discovered in the quiet moments between breaths.
